I’ve been trying to potty train my new puppy but it’s been so difficult. How do I achieve this?

I’d say the key is to be patient, observant, and consistent. Setting up a schedule is important because it gives you an idea of when to expect your dog to need to go, and your dog knows when to come get you. I take my dog out first thing in the morning, twice during the day, and one more time before going to bed. Another thing is to learn your dog’s habits. Some dogs are very obvious when they need to go, others aren’t. My dog would whine and nuzzle at me when he needs to go; When you recognize the cues, you can get the dog outside in time. Then make sure to praise them for doing their thing outside.
It really differs and all dogs are different. I would recommend taking the dog out every hour or so and rewarding going potty outside with a treat and lots of praise. If the dog is barking at the door, you can go stand with them and wait until they stop barking. Reward them for no barking with a treat and then immediately take them outside. And if you ever catch your dog going potty inside, say no sternly and quickly take them outside. Never punish them, just teach.
