I’ve been using African black soap and an alpha hydroxy acid walnut body polish pretty consistently for a couple of months and it has reduced it, but not ridded itself. I think the physical exfoliation route is the best approach. The thing with keratosis pilaris is: you can’t really get rid of it, because it will come back if you are not diligent with your routine.
I’m gonna recommend that you use the Eucerin Professional Strength body lotion. It’s got AHA and Urea, and it works extremely well. I was just hoping to get rid of my dry skin but it’s also gotten rid of the KP on my arms and the calluses I normally get on the bottom of my feet from walking a lot. A little goes a long way. I usually mix it with another body lotion or Vaseline.
