I’ve come across quite a number of individuals who make eating egg yolks seem like something inappropriate. Is it not as nutritious as the egg white?

Egg white has more protein than egg yolk, the egg white of an egg has approximately 3.6 to 4g of protein and egg yolk of an egg has approximately 2.7 to 3g of protein. That is why, one medium size whole egg has approximately 6 to 7g of protein. It varies with the size of egg.
However eating egg yolk or egg white, both can meet up your protein requirement. Apart from protein egg white is a good source of potassium and egg yolk is a high in cholesterol and vitamin A and D. Due to the cholesterol content in egg yolk, one should take care of the quantity. If you want to eat the whole egg, do not exceed the number to more than 4 per week. Otherwise, you can opt only for egg whites.
As a vegan, I don’t eat them anyway so it seems weird that I’m answer anyway. But the simple fact of the matter is that the majority of the nutrients are in the yolk. The idea of separating the yolks for some people is that they just want the proteins which are typically mostly in the whites. Also there’s a desire to avoid cholesterol which is mostly found in the yolk. Except that the idea that dietary cholesterol turns into cholesterol in your blood has long been proven a myth. If you’re going to consume eggs, eat them whole. The nutrients in the yolks far outweigh any other concerns about consuming them or not consuming them.
