Affiliate marketing has been around for years and is a legitimate way of making money. For a pyramid to work there is the one at the top that makes the most right. And in Affiliate marketing, there is actually a possibility to make more than the owner/vendor of a product. They are pretty similar business models but is being used by Amazon, so you can be sure it is legit. I understand your concern as they look a bit similar to one another, but as mentioned it is not. You can get affiliate commissions ranging from just a few percent commission and up to 100% commission if you choose to promote with that model.
Affiliate Marketing is something entirely different. This relatively new marketing process comes to us as a part of the internet. Generally, to be involved you choose some products that are available from different sources and you make an agreement with the source product owner to sell his/her products for a commission. There are also some wholesale operations that help you to find these product connections. A lot of products and services that you find for sale on the internet are coming through affiliate connections.
