      The empirical evidence shows that about 8 to 10 percent people are born with one kidney. This is due a conginetal flaw. With adequate precautions, such people lead a happy, healthy and full life. So, the answer of your question is in affirmative and it should be a cause of any major concern.

      Yes. This is one of the common congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract. Condition with single kidney is also called as solitary kidney or unilateral renal agenesis.
      As far as the single kidney is working properly, a person can live same as the person with two kidneys. It is advisable to lead a proper and healthy lifestyle.
