  1. Well, considering the amount of time I spend talking to myself, I would think it to be pretty normal. But I think I’m aware that this isn’t the popular opinion. I am not well educated on the psychology behind this matter, but I will explain my analogy to you. If you talk to yourself, it is a sign you consider yourself interesting and are willing to analyze your thoughts and be aware of the opinions held by yourself. It also helps you broaden the horizons of your mind, and find things about yourself you didn’t know existed in the first place. And according to psychology, a broad view and good self esteem are key to a healthy mind.

  2. Talking to myself is like a habit for me. I am learning to be independent and I have always had discussions with myself especially with making decisions, about the people around me, incidents that affect me and many more. I feel it is more like a personal connection to oneself and helps you to evaluate your decisions and actions in many cases. You also end up learning to express your ideas better. It did help me out during the days when I used to be shy and timid. The nature is only human. Normal or abnormal is up to how the person sees and perceives it.
