Netflix user subscription agreement allows for up to five family members to sign in and create a profile, and have access to all of the content. It does state five family members in the same household, but Netflix isn’t going out of their way to monitor or investigate who is on each subscription members account. They are not concerned with anything other than the monthly payment.
Depends on what you mean by share, but I assume you mean share with others who are not paid subscribers. Yes, it is illegal to share Netflix your account. In fact, if you share it with enough people long enough it becomes a felony. For example, under Connecticut law it becomes a felony. Even if you share your Netflix account with only one other person, Netflix won’t like it, however they probably won’t sue or seek criminal prosecution. But they might cancel your account without notice.
