Sometimes when people hurt me so bad, I tend to block them, I block them totally in such a way they never will be able to reach me except they come to my house unannounced. Is this extreme?

I honestly don’t care if it’s extreme, weird or petty. I block people for multiple reasons. If you strike me as creepy. The moment someone sends me a message or makes a comment that I deem creepy, I block them on the spot. If you simply annoy me, whether it be unwanted messages, I don’t have time for it.
Blocking is a mature solution to problematic interactions online. My experience on the internet is mine to control and mine only, and I reserve the right to block anyone at anytime, no explanation needed.
I don’t block people because I think I’m more important than other people. I don’t block people as an indictment on their worth as people. I don’t block people because I think they’re bad people. I block people because I don’t want to interact with them. That’s it. The world is a huge place filled with lots of people. There are people who are just not temperamentally, behaviorally, or ideologically compatible, whether we’re talking about a romantic relationship or a Platonic friendship.
