Well, if you are a Christian of course it is. They are many scriptures that talk about fornication. If you are a Christian you need to read your bible, but because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband. It demonstrates a lack of respect for the idea of marriage.
If you ever had occasion to have sexual intercourse with someone you did not love, you should have noticed that you probably did not feel so good about yourself afterwards. Something was wrong. But this internal red flag will disappear if you simply carry on regardless. In fact there eventually is so much encrustation caused by sin around the soul that it cannot any longer get that red flag message out. If however you had sexual intercourse with someone you loved greatly, even if you were not married, you will feel great afterwards. You can conclude that your soul is happy when you act in love, and that would be correct.
