I do not speak for all people when I say this, but for me is it always because I have grown up being inferior to people. My best friends always excelled at things I could never achieve, no one really likes me throughout middle school, and my mother had always been the best at anyone hint she tried.
Whenever I wanted to try something new I was always presented with people who were so much better than I was. For the longest time I refused to go to art museums on account of how inferior it made me feel in relation to my own art. There will be always some one who is better than you at something, the goal is to try to be as good as you want to be.
As someone who had profoundly low self esteem, all i can suggest you is your inferiority thought has come from experiences you had in your childhood or people you met through out your life. you might have low self esteem.Feeling not good about themselves is one of the worst experience one can have. Any amount of financial success, fame or good life will never make one feel good. You may think that you are not competent or good enough. Past failures and life events may contribute. All the taunts and putdowns are opinions of others. People abuse others out of their ignorance and insecurities. you need to remember that is their opinion and not the fact. It does not define who you are. People behave and understand based on how they perceive. Their perception is based on their conditioning.
