  1. At 40, most women benefit from non-surgical methods of facial rejuvenation. The most effective treatments are botox and injectable fillers. The results from both can be quite dramatic and take years off of your appearance. Lasers can make the skin look younger. Some devices can cause a mild lifting effect when applied to the face. It is always best to use a variety of methods together for the best results.

  2. As we hit the big 40, we may start to notice that our skin becomes thinner and areas which were once plump and youthful begin to sag and hollow. This is due to the loss of substances such as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid within the matrix of our skin. These substances contribute to youthful, hydrated and resilient skin. Surprisingly we also lose bone mass, fat and muscle tone in our faces, which keep the skin taught and smooth, which results in sagging skin, hollow areas such as cheeks, temples and the lower face and tired looking eyes.
