What retinol serum or cream have you used that worked the magic for you and you can recommend?
I’ve been using retinol for almost 2 months now. In the beginning I started off really slow and mixed a pea sized amount with my moisturizer. I then gradually started using it on its own, pre moisturizer. The best advice I have is to start slow, set a schedule, use it sparingly, and apply a thick moisturizer. After a while, your skin will build a tolerance to it and it won’t get irritated. My favorite at the moment is A313. I was previously using the Inkey List, but I realized it was breaking me out terribly. Once I made the switch to A313 my face has become radiant and super healthy looking.
Right now I am using The Ordinary 0.5% Retinol in Squalene. I have noticed it works well in conjunction with my azelaic acid to give my skin a good glow and more even tone to it. Even my facialist said that she didn’t recognise me because I had a new found luminosity to my skin. The Ordinary retinol can minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve uneven skin tone, restore skin firmness, and shrink the appearance of enlarged pores. I am eyeing off the Paula’s Choice 1% Clinical Retinol next due to the reviews and mix of ingredients seemingly being quite promising.
