I shave in the same way as my hair, instead of opposite. This really helped me out. I try to stay with the grain as much as possible. The other thing – shave less. You don’t have to be smooth everyday and having less bumps is worth it.
My trick is to exfoliate and moisturize. I use hot water on my area first to soften the hairs. The I apply a good amount of shaving gel. I always try to shave in the same direction. I have a little mirror that I squat over so I can see what I’m doing better. Right after, I use witch hazel on the area to close the pores, and them I moisturize again. For day to day, I use this exfoliating cloth that I found, moisturize regularly, and I actually rub stick deodorant over the area, especially if I’m going to wear tighter undies for any reason.
