Remove the Image Background Select the selection tool. Make sure image layer is selected. Click on select subject. Go to select and Mask. Make the required adjustments. Select output to, new layer with layer mask. Hit okay.
Fill out any left area on layer mask. Now the background is fully removed. Put the Image on New Background Now, drag this image onto the other image. We will match the horizon of both the images. Convert the background layer to smart object. Disable the top layer and mark the horizon point on the image. It’s right here.
Match the Horizons of Both Images Now, we will see the horizon of second image. Convert the background layer to smart object. The horizon is around the chest.
Now, we will stretch the background image so, both the horizon comes at the same point. Select the layer mask. Click on FX, drop shadow. Keep the color black and opacity around 35 percent. Hit ok. Add Shadow of the Subject Right click on drop shadow and create layer. Press ok. Now, it has converted into layer.
Select the layer and transform it. Go to filter, blur and gaussian blur. Increase the radius to keep just the minor effect of shadow. Adjust the Compositing Create new layer. Select the brush tool. Keep the opacity at 100 and flow around 12 percent.
Use the brush tool to add shadow of skate board. Select the subject layer. And open black and white. Again, select the subject layer and open levels to adjust the luminosity of image. Clip it and adjust it so both the subject and background has same black and white color. Before, After.
Disable the black and white layer. Change the blending mode of level layer to luminosity. Rename this layer as luminosity. Open the curve layer. Clip it. Click on the auto while holding the alt key. Select, find dark and light color. Select the darkest color for shadow and lightest for highlights. Click ok. Select no. Change the blending mode to color. Blur the Background We can see the original image background is blur. So, we will blur the background. Select the background layer. Go to filter. Blur gallery and select tilt shift. Adjust the position of solid bars to add tilt shift effect like the original image.
And our subject is fully merged in to the background.
