With their account description, you can easily know if an account is bot or authentic. By merely looking at the username you can detect bots, bots often have a pattern with their username creation, it often contains numbers. Also, bots often leave their display picture bare or with photos of nature. Also, they have have quite a number of people they’re following but they don’t have much followers themselves. Bots accounts are often very recent.
You almost can’t avoid coming across bots on Twitter, it’s almost likely they’re on surge right now. I’ve encountered them on several occasions myself and identify them by watching out for some things like; the length of their tweets, bots often post short tweets and often automated. Also, when you check the profile of a bot, you’ll find out that their page is full of same or similar automated tweets. Once you notice these things, then you know you’re dealing with a bot.
