Master your craft. Good teachers have excellent command of the subject they teach.
Know the misconceptions of the topics of your subject. Look at it from the eyes of your students. What are the possible misconceptions one can have on that topic. Be on the lookout for those misconceptions and address them well. Use visuals. Students have better learning when teachers use visuals. So when you explain math problems to them, try to include some visuals. Get to know your students and gain their trust. Give quick feedback on their work. Don’t delay marking or checking their work. Give detailed examples.
Teaching isn’t just a profession but an art of building future of world. You can enhance your skill collection through analyzing all of the work you do. Look at all the activities you have done with a class, be they practical or theoretically based. Note what went well, and what could have been better. If you refer to this next time you do something similar, you can incorporate the bits which seemed to have a positive effect, and try something else in replacement of the things that needed to be improved. This way, you will end up with an array of exercises that are productive and worthwhile.
