I’d love love to get a tongue piercing, I’ve got multiple piercings though but I’ve never had one in my mouth before.

I never remember how painful a piercing is after getting it done, because the reality is they never really hurt. It’s a quick pinch, and they’re over. Out of the fifteen I have, my tongue was more of the least painful ones. It really felt like what I would expect a needle going through butter feels like. With some burning from a hole being created. The real pain was the healing process. My tongue swelled to about 2x the size it is. You’ll feel a burning sensation as it goes through, but after that it will feel sore.
I felt very little pain during the actual procedure, maybe something like biting your tongue? The recovery was rather annoying though. I couldn’t eat at all for the first day, and only soft foods for 4-5 days after. Talking was hard, and I had a lisp for a week or two. And I had to really re-learn how to eat, because I kept biting down on my piercing at first.
It was worth it in the end. I love my tongue piercing. But it’s obviously not for everyone.
