To keep my AC working perfectly fine, how often should maintenance work be done on it?
An air conditioner is one of the most necessary equipment that you need to make your life comfortable. Air conditioners help to keep your house cool when it is hot outside so that you can stay comfortable in it, regular servicing of an air conditioner will make it more efficient and run smoothly even if you do not find any problem in your air conditioning unit, you must get it examined at least after every three months. It will make sure that it works at utmost efficiency and is ready to cool your house on the days when you need it the most.
It depends on how often you use it and how dusty the interior room is and how dusty the outside air is. In relatively clean running conditions you only clean the air conditioner somewhere after 5–10 years. But the more often you clean them the better the air conditioner will run and the longer it will last, so once every one or two years is best. Wash the removable filter when it becomes dirty. If your air conditioner is making a cracking and popping noise, or if it is not cooling well and looks dirty it needs to be cleaned immediately.
