Although, most people tend to say it doesn’t matter. Actually it does matter, maybe not to a large extent, but it really does matter.

  1. Physical attraction is just as important as emotional attraction. Anyone that says that they only date based off of personality and not looks are either lying or in complete denial.
Look is very important, if you aren’t attracted to them, how are you supposed to make anything sexual happen? Say for example if you’re with a partner that you find physically attractive and over time they get lazy and let themselves go while you’re still in good shape, I guarantee your attraction towards them will significantly be lowered. You can still love that person, but sexually you won’t be as into them. Unfortunately it’s a big reason why alot of married or long-term couples cheat.

  2. I think there needs to be a form of physical attraction. Even if it’s not huge. Just because if you don’t like the way they look, you won’t feel very excited about them. And later on, even if they have a wonderful personality, you’ll be wishing you had more. That isn’t vain. There’s nothing like a connection of when you’re both attracted to one another. Rather than feeling like you’re settling. Especially if they’re clearly very attracted to you – that’s the worst.
