      I’m so sorry about our that, it is can be very difficult and heart breaking to see a loved one struggling with mental challenges.

      Educating yourself about their illness will help you know how to show them care and help them manage the illness. Read about the illness, this will give you insights into what to expect and how to deal with it.

      At this period, you have to be more considerate. Show them compassion, empathy, be kind to them. This is a period they need you the most and they will surely need all the affection you can show them.

      Know that they’re still the same person you’ve known before, not some kind of stranger you just see on the street

      Be more patient when dealing with them. They no longer control their action or words, they don’t know what they’re doing. So, you have to be more gentle and calmer when dealing with them now.

      Do not judge them, show them you care about them and you’re worried about them.

      Work closely with the health personnel who is in charge of them. Know their progress

      Be positive. Your positivity will have effects on the healing process of the person.

      Love and light.

      If you have someone struggling with their mental health, here are few ways you can show your support and love to them;

      Learn as much as you can about the illness. Do not leave a detail out. Know what the illness of the person is all about, the causes, symptoms, and treatments.

      Do not withdraw away from them. Visit them regularly, if you are not in the same area with them, call them regularly. What they need now is love and connection from their loved ones. Be sure to shower them the affection.

      Help them do some parts of the work—this can be going to the pharmacy for them, helping them to meet up with doctor’s appointments, helping to make sure they sue their medications, etc.

      Help them to live a healthy lifestyle that will quicken their healing process.

      Be patient with them. There are different kinds of mental illness, and most of them often take time to go away fast. Help them trust the journey, as it may be slow. Do not give up on them, be a source of motivation to them. You will be helping them speed up their recovery.
