How can an individual who in  control of how they use drug substances? By being in control, it means they know when to stop and when to use, all about checks and balances.

  1. My opinion is that everyone can control themselves under the influence. But seeing as how most drugs lower your inhibitions, I think some people just choose not to control themselves. Basically, their reaction to, say, urinating in public would normally be absolutely not! But with their inhibitions lowered, their initial reaction could be, fuck it who cares? So they choose to act on it. But are very much aware of what they are doing.

  2. If you’re fully aware of what the drug does to your system you can become conscious of how you’re brain reacts to it. It’s like this; if you know you’ll have slurred speech on alcohol, you might choose to speak relatively slower and focus on the next word you’re about to say. The result is a much less noticeable influence of the substance. Or, please don’t do this, if you find yourself behind the wheel while driving then my best advice is to detach your train of thought from what you’re doing and let your brain go on auto-pilot.
