It can be really hard to figure out exactly how many calories you are eating because there are a lot of variables, like ingredients and serving sizes. The best way to get a good idea is to use a food tracking app, like MyFitnessPal. They have a huge database, and you can input what you are eating and how much, and you’ll be able to find fairly accurate calorie and nutrition information. You can also input your current weight and activity level, and it can help you determine how many calories you should be eating to get to your goal weight. It is kind of a pain to track everything you eat at first, but over time, you will become more aware of the calorie and macronutrient amounts of the foods you commonly consume, and be able to estimate on your own.
Calories is a way to calculate the energy given by any food item. This energy depends on the value of macro nutrients present in the food. 1 gm of carbohydrates provide 4 KCAL, 1gm of protein provide 4 KCAL and 1 gm of fat provides 9 KCAL. Therefore, calorie count of any food depends on the level of these macro nutrients. However, there are many apps which can provide you this count or you can use internet to search about these calories count.
