As a content creator, it’s not abnormal to run out of ideas in what to create for your audience. It is bound to happen at one point or the other. So, when this happens, how do you know what content your audience will love?

The only way to create truly meaningful content is to know your audience. And to know not only what they are looking for, but where they are finding it and how they are consuming information. The best content for social media, however, is slightly more nuanced them simply knowing the ins-out-behinds-and-unders of your ideal reader. Social media stands at an intersection of multiple different communications and media channels and thus necessitates a unique type of interactive content. Today, social media users and digitally savvy information consumers value participation and philanthropy more than previous generations. They prioritize transparency of brand message. This makes social media a great platform, and great medium, in and of itself.
1. ALWAYS keep your audience in mind, focus on the people you’re creating for, not what other creators are doing
2. Mix it up and don’t be afraid to take risks! Learn what works and what doesn’t then rinse and repeat. You can either run around trying to follow the latest trends, or you can create them!
3. Live videos will likely gain momentum because it’s real and help people to feel connected! Focus on ways to build live engagement with your audience
4. Focus on building collaborations and community! Ask questions, get people involved and have fun with it! Don’t become a preacher, give others the limelight!
5. Be willing to post frequently and consistently even when the engagement isn’t there. All the top influencers of today once started with ZERO followers and engagement. Some were that way for several years. Remember, the pioneers and the greats are often the ones who are ridiculed to begin with.
