Is there a way I can check if I’ve been shadow banned on Instagram? I’ve noticed my engagement is kind of really low these days compare to how it usually was before.

To confirm whether or not you’ve been shadow banned, find 3-5 users that do not follow you and ask them to check if your image is appearing within the hashtags you used on that post (keep in mind if you used a tag with 1 million posts associated with it, it’s unlikely they’ll be able to find your image anyway. Instead, check a small hashtag that isn’t updated too regularly).
If all of the people who checked for you do not see your image at all, your account may have been shadow banned. If some of the people still see your image then you most likely have not been shadow banned and are just experiencing a dip in engagement.
Use a separate account to look up your posts on the actual hashtag. So i.e. if you post #Blacklivesmatter, your post should be seen as “new post” and if it’s not showing up there, you’ve been shadowbanned. Check multiple hashtags just to make sure. One thing to know, Instagram denies that they do this and you’ll have to figure it out yourself, likely by seeing post stats to see that your posts aren’t getting any reach off hashtags.
