A garden hose attached via a long hose to an outdoor faucet at one end and a good quality nozzle at the other. There must be strong water pressure coming from your faucet also. But more importantly, the knowledge and skill to use it in fighting a fire. It’s going to be hot, real hot. You could easily get burned. Really, you should just call 9-1–1. This is my practical answer. You can put out a good amount of fire with a garden hose.
Dealing with a fire is very risky and while trying to extinguish a fire, one must remain very careful and try not to panic. If the fire is big and you do not have a fire extinguisher or fire safety equipment, you should call the Fire Department urgently and evacuate the premise asap.
If the fire is small, or manageable, you can try extinguishing it using sand, blanket, continuous water splash, or covering the fire with a non-combustible object. Under any such circumstances, the safety protocols should always be kept in mind and one should maintain a distance of at least 2 meters from the fire.
