I have a cup of hibiscus tea every day, among a lot of other things I do for my BP. I haven’t had any side effects from it, and my BP is well under control, but I can’t definitively say how much the hibiscus tea has helped. But I do know a lot of studies have shown benefits of it for BP. I’d say if you don’t have any issues with it, it can’t hurt as part of an overall BP strategy. Also, if you’re on medication, it’s better to stay away from it or ask your doctor if you can drink it while on the meds to avoid sorry story.
When I was very much younger, I used to enjoy hibiscus drink so much that I had no limits. Recently I realized that I purge anytime I take the hibiscus drink. Now, I don’t understand if my buddy system automatically created a limit for itself but as much as I can remember I never experienced that when I was very much younger. No ideas, I can’t take more than a cup of the hibiscus drink, such that if I took more than a cup I end up purging really bad.
