Ladies with hairy legs are often seen as disgusting whereas, males with hairy legs are seen as normal. This explains why many ladies will do anything to get the hairs on their legs out.

Absolutely. It’s gross. I don’t find body hair attractive in general – be it on men or women, but since I’m sexually attracted to women, I can say that as far as I’m concerned, the presence of body hair, or as in this case, leg hair, drastically reduces how attractive I perceive the woman to be. While I believe that a woman should groom herself the way she sees fit, I personally find body hair extremely repulsive.
It should not be considered disgusting. Actually, I live in one of those countries where previously the communism was the ruling system and I was told by people who were young in that system, that there were much different beauty ideals in communism than they are now. It included not shaving for women, so all women went out with natural, hairy legs and it was considered a norm. Similarly, they didnt shave armpits, not to mention the intim areas. Actually, shaved legs and shaved other parts of female body were considered abnormal. As for today, it is considered less pretty if a woman doesnt shave, because today we have a totally different culture and system as well.
