Not so recently, but I went from iPhone to Pixel. Then came running back to iPhone very quickly. The pixel had a great camera and was a main reason of trying it, but the iPhone just feels to run so much smoother to me. I don’t think you can go wrong, no matter the choice. But for me personally, I can’t see myself leaving iPhone again anytime soon.
I think the iPhone offers a better app experience as a smartphone. Generally apps have more cohesive and similar design. Like on iPhone it’s pretty much guaranteed across apps that you can long press a link to open a context menu. Pixel phones offer a more user friendly experience with some of the core phone functions. For example the built in call screening, flagging callers as suspected spam and separating text messages into a spam section. This blows anything iPhone does out of the water. The best you can do there is automatically silence unknown callers but that isn’t a guarantee. And then you can block individual contacts for spam messages.
