The first step to gettin out of the shackles of extra marital affairs is to STOP the affair right away, don’t just say it, act it out. Just like when a person has a role model they report their progress and all to, get a someone you can confide in, let them know what you’ve been doing and that you’re ready to change for good. Let this person be your support system in the journey of quitting extra marital affairs.
I totally agree with you that you need help, lots of it. I think the first thing you should do is to let your partner know about it, but you can only do that if you feel remorse about cheating on them and you are so up for change. Let your partner know how you’d want to overcome such desires. In the best interest of you and your partner, it’s best to go for couples therapy. Be open minded and do so with positive mind.
