Upselling is a strategy used by sellers to make buyers make more purchases than they intend to. Sellers who have excellent upselling skills find it easy to make sales and conversions. Invite customers to buy the same product they’ve selected but give them the option to access more features at a higher price, it can even be similar product but with more features. Also, you group together more than one product to create a new bundle to generate more sales. Never forget discounts and gifts work well too.
When looking to upsell to your customers, it is important to start with existing customers. You don’t want to start with new customers so as not to overwhelm them. Start with your best and existing customers.
Also, you should do a business reviews from customers before you start upselling. You need to know what your customers think of your business.
Another technique is to offer trial, especially to new customers, this is will create a sense of trust. Offer them discounts, tell them why they need the products.
