Self tanner is not low maintenance, it’s a choice you have to make whether or not it’s worth it to you. If you are a whole shade darker you will need a new foundation and your face and body might not always exactly match. You can try to exfoliate your body with a scrub or something to make it fade at the same rate as the tan on your face but that is even more work. Sorry, I wish I had a better answer for you but self tan is a lot of upkeep
Use a gradual tanning lotion! It’s not as dramatic but it’s honestly way easier with upkeep because you just apply it like a body lotion after showering basically. I used to use the dove medium to dark one, super cheap and gives a nice colour.
