The first time I had serious fear about my death was when i saw the lifeless body of my brother being embalmed. It hit me I woulda one day be like that, I couldn’t get that off my mind for a while. I thought about death in everything I was doing then, what if, what if. The killer is the fact that it could happen anytime and I wouldn’t have control over it. I talked to a therapist for a while and got over the fear, I still think about it sometimes but not as i used to. Death is a normal and natural part of life. However much it scares us, we can’t waste our lives worrying about something we know we will never be able to change. So, why not leave my life and anytime death comes, so be it.
The only thing that makes my own death scare me is then thought of my loved ones. I really don’t need to worry about things I can’t put under control. The condition my loved ones would be when I die is what makes my death fearful to me sometimes.
