How does religion and spirituality may relate to one’s career, and how does religion and spirituality can be incorporated into the workplace?
Workplace spirituality is intended to interconnect past experiences and develop trust among employees in a way that would lead the organization into a better and productive environment. Due to the absence of spirituality in the workplace, the organizational environment becomes challenging which would create hurdles and issues. It shows that trust would mediate the interaction between workplace spirituality and job satisfaction in a positive way and would act as a positive bridge between them. As a result, many problems like stress, absenteeism, and frustrating environment can be minimized.
Career Management is a spiritual process, in which the first step is self-awareness. This comes when you think about yourself on your own or through an expert to understand your true self. What this means is, knowing your talent, passion, personality, moments of joy, style of work etc to figure out your critical ‘success’ and ‘satisfaction factors’. Your fitment to right work, industry, and role. Once you know this, you choose a career, wherein you are curious to find answers to many questions. You want to excel. You want to create. You want to bring change. This leads to a state of high self-esteem You recognize your potential, and others reward you for your greatness in that field. The next level is self-actualization (feeling at the top of the world) and thinking beyond self-interest.
So, basically if someone is weak spiritually, then he/she gets influenced by various environmental factors from time to time and ends up making the career a mediocre. They live a life dictated by others.
