Is religion the root cause of terrorism? I mean, it can be cr*zy how some people think they’re fighting for their God.

Religion brainwashing is the world’s leading source of ignorance, intolerance and violence. This inhumane and indefensible crime against humanity should have been internationally banned centuries ago. I think it’s really crazy for some individuals to assume they can fight all in the name of religion.
Why are people terrorists? It is widely believed that terrorists kill to achieve the will of God. But this sounds very strange to me. I can’t imagine large numbers of people motivated for this reason, especially for this reason alone. Here are the reasons why people were terrorists; Terrorists are forced into recruitment, terrorists are offered material incentives, terrorists are taking action against the grief from the deaths they experienced, terrorists are deprived, terrorism is part of one’s in-group and offers social ties, terrorists are averse to out-groups, terrorism feels safer than being a civilian, terrorism is an escape from boredom, terrorism offers significance and meaning.
