My son is 16 years old and he wants to start taking the puberty blocker, we’re scared it might be too late.

  1. If you take puberty blockers in the middle of puberty, they will keep it from progressing any further. That means no more voice deepening, facial hair growth, muscle growth, or masculinizing bone structure changes. They will not however, undo any changes that have already taken place. So, if you don’t have any medial constraint that can hinder you from use blockers, with your parental or guardian’s consent you can still use them at 16.

  2. I would think it has less to do with age and more to do with what stage of puberty you are in. If you have already started, there’s not much blockers will do for you. It depends when you started puberty. If you already started 3 years ago ir more then they won’t help. If you’te a late bloomer and only just started, they will help.
