Neem powder is an organic and natural substance. It is bio-degradable and totally chemical-free. It is an excellent Organic Soil Amendment. It enriches the soil and can be used as other soil conditioners. Apply neem powder when you prepare potting soil, 10-14 days before planting.
When you use it for established plants, apply it around the root area and ensure it is covered and mixed well with soil. Neem powder provides the plant with all the necessary nutrients and also helps control pests. Neem powder lasts longer and also retains water to keep the soil in good condition.
Neem powder acts as a concentrated bio fertiliser. It is often used in various forms in amending the soil. They are non-toxic and are a safe alternative to commercially manufactured chemical fertilisers. It enhances the efficiency of other fertilisers as it does not inhibit nitrification. They also help to prevent nematode attack, certain moths and beetles.
