Music has really evolved over the years, such that there are new music everywhere, nice and just there.
Many people might be saying that rap is all trash because most rappers rap about money, girls, and drugs but they are not looking at the right artists. We have rappers like Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Lil Wayne and other rappers. If you don’t like them then we have Lil Pump, Famous Dex, Soulja Boy, Lil B, Lil Yatchy, and rappers like them. Lil Pump might not sound as good as Tupac to some people, but to others Lil Pump might be the new Tupac. It all depends on how you look at it. In my opinion, modern rap is currently at its peak.
This is an old but common argument, it shouldn’t even be an argument in the first place. People only like older music as they only have a select few of the greats they listen to. Music grows and gets better. When we get into the 2030s, people will say the 2010s were the best but realistically they only listen to the really good ones, and not all. They’re listening to J-Cole, Kanye, Childish Gambino. but they won’t be listening to the shit music of our time. Even if we compare the greats of these two times, I have to say a Kanye’s song is just better than a Tupac.
