There are so many ways to clean a pipe and untold numbers of tools to do it with but they all come down to one thing, you have to scrape the bowl clean. Many pipe tools such as the Czech tool have pipe scrapers in them that don’t work very well, The better single blade scrapers will be more knife like and shaped to fit the bowl of the pipe. There are multiblade scrapers that will have adjustable diameter sizes to fit most pipe bowls and some that have interchangeable heads for different pipe bowl sizes. You can find most of these at any pipe shop or you can always use a pocket knife to scrape the bowl although this seldom leaves a smooth effect.
Deciding on whether to clean your smoking pipe or buy another one anytime it gets dirty is only but a matter of choice, I mean you’re the one using it, not us. But if you wanna clean, all you have to do is put it in a ziplock with some isopropyl alcohol and a modest amount of salt, shake until it all is knocked free and then rinse out with warm water. It may also help to have something like a paper clip to pick it out if it’s especially gunked up. A clean smoking pipe is a happy pipe.
