For me, I sometimes have that thought in my head. It’s funny yeah? I believe God exist and all, but what if he has nothing to do with our prayers getting answered and our dreams and wishes coming to pass. What if it’s all just coincidence?

I think mine is the other way way round, sometimes I feel my prayers got answers by God and not mere coincidence. I was born a Christian but I really am not a Christian at heart, I only pray when things are not going as planned. I call on God during times like this and when things get good, I neglect prayers and allow nature to take it’s course. I believe things happen according to the course of nature when things are going on very fine for me, but the other way round when things I have to pray to God because things are bad.
That’s a difficult question, because there isn’t such a thing that cannot be explained by science. There are so many possibilities as to why a wish can seem to be granted that it makes no sense to conclude that some supernatural supreme being granted that wish. It’s also a very bad idea to suggest that prayers are answered as that leads to feelings of rejection and self-doubt in those whose prayers are not answered. Suppose someone prays for a relative to be cured of an illness and that relative recovers. How does that make someone feel who prayed for their relative and nothing happened?
