I woke up to getting a copyright warning concerning the last video i put up on my channel. i dont know why i got that warning and I’m scared cos my channel can be taken down as a result of this.

If YouTube is your source of livelihood, you should make sure those warnings don’t lead to strikes because with three strikes, you’re out of YouTube— especially if they’re copyright strikes. If some part of your video includes content from another creator and that creator did not grant you permission, you can get a strike.
A lot of YouTubers commit the copyright offense, consciously or unconsciously. And either ways, it comes with penalty. Sometimes, it may go unnoticed but with frequent upgrades make to YouTube, most copyright offenses are now often noticed and if not careful, your channel will be gone. Note that, attributing a creator as the owner of the a video in the description box of the video does not cut it, it doesn’t erase the fact that it’s a copyright offense.
