Did Elijah die or not? It wasn’t exactly recorded that he died in the Bible.
Elijah did not die, he was taken up on a fire chariot, in a whirlwind. Another person who was taken up to heaven without dying was Enoch. It can be said that Jesus was also taken up to heaven without dying, “the ascension of Christ”.
“And so it happened. They were walking along and talking. Suddenly a chariot and horses of fire came between them and Elijah went up in a whirlwind to heaven”—2kings 2:1
The Bible has no record that Elijah died, he was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind.
