Experts say that wearing someone else’s prescription glasses does not harm our eyes
Wearing the wrong prescription, however, can be uncomfortable and cause some pain. Kids are at risk of harming their eyes if they wear another person’s glasses. Ever remember putting on someone else’s glasses and an adult telling you off with the reason that it’ll only ruin your own eyesight? Of course, if you’re wearing someone else’s prescription, you wont be able to see through them properly, so there’s really no need to wear them, unless you want to for fashion purposes because their glasses are just so sassy! If that’s the case, just get some non-prescription glasses. That way you’ll be able to wear glasses without causing any of those excess problems.
Eyeglasses in general are meant to direct light to hit your retina properly. Other people tend to have different eyes with different lengths so their glasses will rarely do what glasses should do ideally, but glasses never help you actually improve the underlying condition that leads you to seek correction. I am not a doctor but I am favorable to people using as minimally strengthed glasses as possible if at all, and learning how to address the cause of the blur which typically is strain of eyes, insufficient outdoor time, or some psychological issue that results in dysfunctional vision.
