Do restaurants allow people who might want to urgently charge their phone entry into their space?
Can I just go charge a device in a restaurant without actually buying any food?

If I really need to use my devices in a restaurant, I will choose the restaurants that offer free charging, and actually, many do. Of course, I expect that the cost of providing such service is reflected in the prices I pay for my meals.
Or if I am going to a restaurant that does not provide such service, I leave my devices off elsewhere, and amuse myself while waiting with a book or a crossword puzzle or something.
This should be an easy thing restaurants should and ought to allow. Anyone could get stranded okay? Any restaurant willing to charge me for power usage is either extremely cheap. If I’m desperate for a charge though, like probably almost everyone else, I may be persuaded to pay for it.
