If you go with the general mythology, vampires might turn into a bat, turn into mist, move very quickly, and are very strong. In order to burn a vampire you would need to either capture one and immobilise it so that you can burn it. Or you could trap it inside a room or building and burn the whole thing down. If a stake through the heart, or sunlight works, then they are far easier options. Fire is very tricky and you stand a good chance of burning yourself or your surroundings in the process.
Vampires are mythical creatures. They don’t really exist. However they are popular as fictional characters in people’s imagination. According to such sources, vampires can be killed by a wooden stake in their heart, a silver bullet, exposure to direct sunlight, or burning. Personally, I suggest you just sprinkle some holy water on them.
