Clinical depression, anxiety or high stress can cause problems with concentration and memory. If you mind is overwhelmed with the concentration problems, it can be hard even to concentrate on a T.V. program. It is possible to have memory problems brought on by depression since it causes you to lose interest in most things while depressed. So many things you hear and see while depressed will not be retained due to lack of interest.
Depression can cause mild memory loss. Memory loss due to depression can either improve or worsen depending on your emotional and mental state. If you notice that you’re having problems with your memory, you should schedule an appointment with your doctor. They can work with you to determine the cause.
