Yes. In fact, many medical professionals believe that all cannabis use can be classified as palliative or prophylactic in nature, in other words it makes you feel better or prevents you from feeling poorly. There are various medicinal use of cannabis in human health:-
The best-supported medicinal use of cannabis is as a treatment for chronic pain. There’s also strong evidence medical cannabis can help with muscle spasms. It doesn’t seem to harm lung capacity, and may even improve it.
It may be of some use in treating glaucoma, or it may be possible to derive a drug from marijuana for this use. It may help control epileptic seizures. It also decreases the symptoms of a severe seizure disorder known as Dravet’s Syndrome. A chemical found in cannabis stops cancer from spreading, at least in cell cultures. It may decrease anxiety in low doses. Cannabis may help with inflammatory bowel diseases. It relieves arthritis discomfort.
I’ve been taking prescription drugs for insomnia and chronic pain for over 14years. My job had random drug testing so I couldn’t even try marijuana or I’d be fired. Only very recently I started taking edible cannabis high in CBD and have reduced my use of opioids and benzodiazepines by 75%. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. I don’t enjoy the intoxicating effects, so I only use it at bedtime. The results are much better than the prescribed medication with far less side effects. My only complaint is that it is more expensive because it is not covered by my insurance.
