In any country there are set of rules you need to abide to if you wish to have a pleasant stay. The single most important law is to respect and follow the laws, unlike many other countries. whatever your beliefs are, never speak ill of any religion or someone else personal beliefs. Never castigate Islam in particular or any other religion in general that might infuriate its believers. You can be jailed for doing so. UAE is very safe, have their own tourist destinations, people are friendly, food is great.
Dubai is a tourist city, and it is quite used to playing host to pretty much anyone and everyone. Of course, they’ll have to tune down their strict religious law to accommodate tourists in their city. But that doesn’t happen very much at all. Dubai government doesn’t really care if their tourists are atheists or Muslims or Christians or Hinduists. They simply just don’t want you disrespecting their religion, that would be a silly thing to do in the first place.
