When you feel that your energy is drained: some people drain others by small talk by trying to involve you in some of their pointless conversations. When you see that they are not gonna help you to be a better you: whether they are people with no goals or people with no talents or experiences, simply people who are here in this life just to eat, drink, have sex and sleep. Cut them offfffff. When they are acting really dumb and/or embarrassing you: this kind of people is really really tiring and can cause you so much trouble. When they are concentrating on your life more than theirs: it’s not just annoying and frustrating but it brings so much trouble, believe me.

Actually you can cut off anyone whenever you want. You do not have to justify why or why not you are choosing to continue a relationship with someone. However, to not be looked upon as a bitter person, you should probably have some solid reason why you want to cut someone off. There’s an old mantra I use in my daily living; if something doesn’t suit your needs, make you grow, or make you a better person, then it no longer serves you. This applies to people as well, of course. I stopped drinking and smoking a few years ago. This completely changed all of my friendships, as in they didn’t last. I tried to stay friends with some, but their lifestyles were just not something that meshed well with my new way of living. But this holds true on both sides of our coin. I know being friends with this set of people will definitely drag me back to my old way of life. Same thing goes with my mother. These relationships are not making me a better person and are only hurting me and my progress. It’s not easy, but it’s better than nursing a toxic relationship.
