Any person can suffer memory loss. Getting involved in accidents or suffering from some type of illness can cause a person to have memories loss. However, if all other factors check out, a person is not supposed to start experiencing memory loss until they’re at least approaching their 60s. This is the “old age”, and it is often characterized with loss of cognitive functions, forgetting things, memory loss. How it is managed will determine how bad it gets. Not all elderly persons suffer memory loss, some don’t experience it until they’re well into their 80s or 90s.
Memory loss can happen at any age but if it’s caused as a result of old age, then it sets on around 50. Often people over the age of 50 begin to forget names and specific information. They may misplace their keys more often or need to pause and remember directions. But memory lapses shouldn’t interfere with daily tasks like paying bills, brushing teeth, and getting dressed.
