Are there hidden mysteries attached to The Monalisa painting?

The two times I was opportune to see the very popular Da Vinci’s painting, Monalisa, I couldn’t just help but feel there are lots of unspoken words attached to the innocent painting. The Monalisa smile, did Leonardo Da Vinci see anything funny while painting the masterpiece? What message exactly was Leonardo Da Vinci trying to pass across exactly with the painting? What or who does the painting depict?

The Monalisa is sure a very complicated and special painting. The painting holds a lots of secret that are unknown. Here are some of the mysteries experts have been able to discover about the painting:

It is believed the painting itself is androgynous, it’s a depiction of both male and female while some believe the painting is the portrait of Lisa Gherardini del Giocondo, wife of a Florentine silk merchant named Francesco del Giocondo.

There are series of letters and numbers on the oil painting

Appearance of an unknown three-arched bridge and the number “72” which was secretly hidden beneath the bridge in the background creates location mystery.

There is an hazy appearance of landscape and a long path or river beneath the painting.

The Monalisa shields many other paintings as there are other hidden paintings beneath the portrait.

No one knows if the painting in the Louvre museum is the real Monalisa, as it once went missing for 2years before it was later found.

The blanket draped over Monalisa is a proof that she was trying to cover her stomach, also the position of her hands further proves that.

The swollen-ness of her hands might point to the fact that she was pregnant.

      The Monalisa does nothave eyelashes.

The Monalisa cannot be sold or bought, it is the most valuable artwork in the louvre museum. The Monalisa has her own room
